“Did you get your Homework? How about your hair? Did you brush it, it’s been three days? Where’s your back pack? What do you mean you left your lunch box at school – where? Get your socks pleeeez – you really want to wear one black one red? Fine – just get going. How about your water bottle – oh my gosh it’s still full from yesterday, you didn’t drink any water? Ok now we’re going to be late, please hurry! No no no, you can’t bring your lizard to school, he’ll jump out of your pocket and get run over, just get in the car. Where’s your sister? She’s changing again? What’s wrong with what you had on honey? Ok finish changing in the car – hurry up guys we’re going to be late! What do you mean you forgot your underwear?”
Ah the peace and tranquility of a school-day morning. The early morning fire drill has never been easy for me with young kids – does it ever get easier? Please say yes.
Until then, I am always on the lookout for ways to simplify mornings and make life a little easier. And so behold this little gem I discovered, just ordered from and want to share with you.
I present to you; The PlanetBox. The PlanetBox is a ‘smart’ lunch box – thank god.
It organizes your lunch by compartments to help you pack a well-balanced healthy lunch – and therefore one less thing to think about. Did you forget your veggies? No problem. The empty compartment will remind you.
They come in different sizes, are made of environmentally friendly, stainless steel and have a five year warranty. They are totally self contained – no more little plastic tubs or single use zip lock bags that wind up blowing around on the playground. They also share some great daily lunch menu ideas to freshen up the lunch doldrums. If they could only include a math tutor and a stylist for the moms like me who get the kids dressed but forget to dress themselves.
PlanetBox will serve as your guide for what and how much to pack. We’ve done the thinking for you. And now your morning routine just got a whole lot easier.
PlanetBox lunches create a whole lot less trash, which should help you sleep better knowing you’re doing your part to help the planet for future generations.
We take “non-toxic, non-leaching, safe from BPA, phthalates, and lead” very seriously – in fact, it’s why we designed PlanetBox! We don’t think you will find safer products on the market than ours.
Built to Last
This isn’t your childhood flimsy tin lunchbox. Our high quality stainless steel is warrantied for 5 years, and has been known to survive getting thrown off the school bus (not that we recommend that).
Why should you pay this much for a lunchbox? Because it’s cheaper to buy food in bulk and pack your own meal. Because your health is worth it. And because it’s an investment your family will use every single day for many years to come – over its lifetime, it will pay off in spades.
Forget to pack some veggies? The empty compartment will remind you. Concerned about overeating? That won’t happen – PlanetBox is designed to hold sensible portions. So eat a rainbow of foods, and enjoy.
When something actually works well, it makes all the difference. We spent years studying and living how people use lunchboxes. We thoroughly thought through all the details, so you and your kids get the joy and ease of using a superbly designed product.
Dishwasher safe? Heck yeah. Peanut butter left for a week? No problem – our stainless steel doesn’t retain yucky food odors or stains like those unfortunate plastic containers do.
Think packing lunch is a dreaded chore? Our innovative lunchboxes actually make packing lunch fun and enjoyable – for your kids and yourself!
Whether you’re a rock star, a paleontologist, or a flower child, we’ve got a magnet set for you. And when you decide to become an astronaut or fairy lover next year, just change your magnets and you’ve got a fresh new lunchbox to suit your style.
Speaking of lunch ideas, do you know about Weelicious? It’s quite the go-to site for lots of parents of youngins looking for deelish ideas and inspirations for school lunches and she just came out with a book too. Visit her site here.
